Life is busy and is constantly on-the-go. These power bites are great for those days when you just need a little extra boost. These power bites made with Wild Orange essential oil provides you with an energizing aroma.

What You Need:

1 cup finely shredded coconut, divided
1 cup almond butter
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup raw honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chia seeds
3 drops Wild Orange essential oil

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients into mixer except for half cup shredded coconut.

  4. Roll into balls and coat in the other half cup of shredded coconut.

DIY Cinnamon Apple Chips with dōTERRA Essential Oils

Cinnamon Apple Chips are the perfect treat for the fall. They are sweet, crispy, and have a delicious hint of cinnamon. Pack them in your children’s lunchboxes as an alternative to potato chips. Just bewarethey are addicting and make your home smell like the holidays.

 

What You Need:

– 8 medium sized apples

1 tablespoon sugar or sweetener of choice

6 drops Cinnamon essential oil

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees F.
  2. Put parchment paper onto two baking sheets.
  3. Combine sugar and Cinnamon essential oil into a small bowl. Stir to combine.

  4. Slice apples into thin slices.
    Note: Use a mandoline for best results.

  5. Place apples onto parchment covered baking sheets in a single layer.
  6. Sprinkle apple slices with cinnamon sugar mixture.

  7. Place baking sheets in preheated oven for 45 minutes 1 hour. Halfway through, flip the apples over.

  8. When edges of the apples are curled, take out of oven and place on a wire rack until cooled and crispy.

DIY Honey Suckers

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Celebrate by giving a sweet treat to the sweet people in your life! These honey suckers have a delicious rich flavor and can be paired with any of your favorite edible doTERRA essential oils.

NOTE: We originally planned on making these suckers with all honey and no white sugar. Unfortunately, none of our attempts at using that recipe were successful. However, you can still try making your own suckers with all honey or maple syrup at home by just boiling them to 295 degrees Fahrenheit or until they reach the hard crack stage.

You have to try these delicious Honey Lemon Suckers! They are really easy to make and will make a great Valentine's gift.

What You Need:

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons water

5 drops Lemon essential oil (or any of your favorite doTERRA oils you can ingest)

Hard candy sucker molds or silicone sheet

Sucker sticks

Candy thermometer

Directions:

  1. Place the sugar, honey, and water into a medium/large pan.

  2. On medium heat, stir ingredients together with a wooden spoon until sugar has dissolved.

  3. Once the sugar is dissolved, place the candy thermometer in your pan and allow it to come to a boil. Let it boil until it reaches 295 degrees Fahrenheit, or the hard crack stage.

  4. While the candy is boiling, prepare your candy molds by spraying with non-stick spray and adding the sucker sticks. Add sprinkles to the mold if desired.

  5. Immediately after the candy reaches the hard crack stage, pour into a heat-resistant measuring cup. Add essential oil and stir.
    Note: The mixture is VERY HOT. Be careful not to burn yourself.

  6. Carefully pour the mixture into your candy molds. If you do not have a candy mold, you can pour your suckers onto a silicone mat and adding the sticks.

  1. Twist the sucker sticks to make sure they are fully coated on the back.
  2. Let suckers rest for at least 30 minutes before removing from mold. Store in plastic wrap or in decorative bags.

DIY Coconut Salt Scrub

Smooth skin, is a must-have for warm spring weather. This coconut salt scrub will help exfoliate your dry winter skin and bring back its bright, youthful appearance.

 

What You Need:

1 cup organic virgin coconut oil

1 cup Pink Himalayan (or Epsom) salt

1/4 cup Fractionated Coconut Oil

15 drops of your favorite essential oil

Directions:

  1. Melt coconut oil in microwave or over a double boiler.

  1. Add Fractionated Coconut Oil and Pink Himalayan Salt into melted coconut oil.

  1. Stir until combined.

Tip: Put in refrigerator to speed up the cooling process.

DIY Moisturizing Lotion Bars

Dry skin got you down? Made with beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and essential oils, these natural moisturizing lotion bars will nourish and soothe dry skin. Just rub the bar on your skin and let your body’s natural heat melt the lotion. After one use, you won’t know how you lived without it.

Ingredients:

⅔ cup beeswax

½ cup coconut oil

½ cup cocoa butter

1 teaspoon vitamin E oil

15 drops of dōTERRA essential oil

Recommended essential oils: Citrus Bliss, Peppermint, Lavender

Directions:

  1. Measure all ingredients, except for essential oils, in a large glass jar.

  1. Place jar in saucepan with 1-1.5 inches of boiling water.

  1. Stir ingredients until combined (around 10-15 minutes).

  1. Pour mixture into silicone mold.

Tip: For an exfoliating lotion bar, add oatmeal to the bottom of the mold.

  1. Let mixture harden for 2-3 hours. Wrap in plastic wrap and store in a container until ready to use.

3/4 cup distilled water

1/4 cup alcohol-free witch hazel or white vinegar

5 drops Lavender essential oil

3 drops Tea Tree essential oil

Glass spray bottle

Directions:

Combine all ingredients into glass spray bottle. Shake until combined. To use, spray on mat and wipe dry with towel.

Bubble bath is great to use for all ages! This bubble bath is gentle on your skin and can be customized with your favorite essential oil. Use Lavender or Serenity for a relaxing aroma or Citrus Bliss or Peppermint for an energizing aroma.

What You Need:

1 cup unscented castile soap

1/2 cup vegetable glycerin

2 tablespoons water

15 drops of your favorite essential oil

Note: Castile soap and vegetable glycerin can be purchased at your local health food store.

  1. Combine castile soap, glycerin, and water into glass bowl.

  1. Pour into glass container. To use, add 1/4-1/2 cup of bubble bath mixture to warm, running bath water.

Note: These bubbles are not going to provide big fluffy bubbles that last a long time since it doesn’t contain the synthetic ingredients that make them. However, this bath will provide enough bubbles for a relaxing and therapeutic bath you will still enjoy.

DIY Cleansing Wipes with dōTERRA On Guard Essential Oil

Cleansing wipes are extremely convenient and are great to have on hand when wiping down surfaces. Making your own wipes is easy and affordable. You probably already have everything you need in your home, so get going!
On Guard Cleansing Wipes

What you need:

  • 1 roll premium paper towels
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons dōTERRA Fractionated coconut oil
  • 3 drops dōTERRA On Guard Essential Oil Blend
  • 3 drops Lemon essential oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons On Guard Foaming Hand Wash
  • An airtight storage container

Instructions:

  1. Cut paper towel in half width-wise with a serrated or electric knife. Use half the roll now, and half later.
  2. Combine water, Fractionated Coconut Oil, essential oils, and On Guard Foaming Hand Wash in a small bowl.
  3. Pour the mixture over the paper towels and then cover with the airtight lid letting the mixture absorb for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn the container over and let sit for another 10 minutes.
  5. Remove and discard the cardboard middle. Just pull the wipes from the center when you are ready to use.

2 drops Lavender essential oil
2 drops Rosemary essential oil
2 drops Peppermint essential oil

For dark hair:

2 tablespoons arrowroot powder
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 drops Lavender essential oil
2 drops Rosemary essential oil
2 drops Peppermint essential oil

Directions: 

  1. Put arrowroot powder, cocoa powder (is using), and essential oils into food processor.
